Surgery Education

Patients at the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center will receive information from their surgeon specific to their surgery. We also provide general surgery education information to help put your mind at ease regarding your procedure.

Additionally, the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center recommends that patients scheduled for total joint replacement or spine surgery attend educational classes. A Patient Care Coordinator usually teaches the class. Since the coordinator acts as the liaison between the surgeon, nursing staff and social workers, they are usually on the inpatient units, giving patients a familiar face to see post-surgery. Patients have better outcomes in recovery knowing what to expect.
