Shoulder and Elbow Surgery

Patients are at risk of upper-extremity, degenerative injuries if they are active in recreational activities. The risk increases if these activities are continued after 60 years of age. A multitude of shoulder and elbow injuries can develop that may prevent patients from living an active, pain-free life.

Our Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Specialists

At the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center, our three fellowship-trained shoulder specialists treat shoulder and elbow conditions in patients ranging from pediatrics to senior citizens, and can tailor a treatment plan specific to a patient's condition.

Shoulder and Elbow Conditions

Some patients with rotator cuff problems can be treated non-surgically with a modification of activities, physical therapy, injections and anti-inflammatory drugs.

However, if surgery is recommended for elbow or shoulder conditions, the surgeons at Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center can treat complex conditions, including:

  • Rotator cuff
  • Shoulder replacement
  • Fracture repair
  • Instability of the shoulder

Surgical treatments for shoulder conditions performed by our surgeons include tendon transfers and fracture work, as well as joint replacement, rotator cuff, instability surgeries and arthroscopic reconstructions.

One procedure, reverse shoulder replacement, can offer patients with an irreparable rotator cuff and no overhead function the ability to improve range of motion and eliminate pain.
